Since we have a huge Facebook following on our page and a very active and vibrant closed community, we get the luxury of really getting to know homeschool moms. One common theme among homeschoolers is a desire for work-from-home opportunities. Before homeschooling, I owned an award-winning information technology recruiting agency for over two decades. As a Part Time Sales Brand Ambassador, their name for Customer Service and Sales Representatives, you handle inbound calls for their client HomeAdvisor, the nation’s largest online home improvement marketplace. Homeowners contact HomeAdvisor to find service professionals for their maintenance, repair, and improvement projects. You are responsible for assisting customers by assessing their needs, scheduling appointments, and referring to pre-screened home-improvement contractors. You use upselling and cross-selling techniques to convert inquiries into referrals. When you meet and exceed your sales goals, they reward you with bonuses and incentives.


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years customer service experience
  • Desire to meet and exceed sales performance goals
  • Able to work weekends
  • Able to work 20-25 hours per week on a consistent basis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to type at least 35 WPM with proper spelling and grammar
  • Detail oriented with focus on quality and accuracy, ability to multitask, strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to successfully pass a criminal and employment reference security check
  • Currently reside in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Utah, or Virginia

  • Some college

Trish is one of the owners of Hip Homeschool Moms. She has been married to her best friend, David, for 22 years and they have three sons (ages 19, 17 and 15). Trish is from the coast of North Carolina, but they now live in rural West Tennessee on a 40+ acre farm. She has been homeschooling since 2009 and her homeschool style leans towards a Montessori approach with a heavy emphasis on hands-on learning. Trish’s family is Messianic and they love studying the Scriptures, learning Hebrew and growing in their faith and walk daily.
