She has been married to her best friend, David, for 25 years and they have three sons (ages 23, 22 and 18). Trish is from the coast of North Carolina, but they now live in rural West Tennessee on a 40+ acre farm. She has been homeschooling since 2009 and her homeschool style leans towards a Montessori approach with a heavy emphasis on hands-on learning. Trish’s family is Messianic and they love studying the Scriptures, learning Hebrew and growing in their faith and walk daily. In her spare time, Trish loves to travel, write, work in their garden and can regularly be found trying to learn something new, modeling that learning is indeed a life-long endeavor!

Students study the art, music, architecture, and literature of the rising nations.  This is a multi-cultural approach to literature and composition using the actual writing from the cultures.  The eastern and western worlds are studied chronologically and geographically, revealing to the student the rise of nations.

  • Expansion of Civilization

    Expansion of Civilization covers both Western and Eastern Civilization.  It is an in-depth study of the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.  Students will learn how a great empire rises, and how it falls.  Studying the art, music, architecture, and literature will greatly contribute to their study and help them to realize exactly what took place.

    Discovering the Ancient World is designed for High School, but is adaptable to grades six through eight. Eastern and Western civilizations are studied chronologically and geographically and in-depth.     We have a full education site with a wide variety of subjects. Currently over 60 classes are offered. Our classes never fill up and they are always available. We price the classes really low to make it affordable for the large families “like ours”. Our subscription service offers access to all of our classes! Each class will have a lesson, videos, quizzes and badge rewards. You will also receive a certificate of completion at the end of each course. Some classes also have a live interactive teacher presentation.
