Trish is the owner of Hip Homeschool Moms. She also owns Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers, Homeschool Travel Adventures, Only Passionate Curiosity and Love These Recipes! She has been married to her best friend, David, for 25 years and they have three sons (ages 23, 22 and 18). Trish is from the coast of North Carolina, but they now live in rural West Tennessee on a 40+ acre farm. She has been homeschooling since 2009 and her homeschool style leans towards a Montessori approach with a heavy emphasis on hands-on learning. Trish’s family is Messianic and they love studying the Scriptures, learning Hebrew and growing in their faith and walk daily. In her spare time, Trish loves to travel, write, work in their garden and can regularly be found trying to learn something new, modeling that learning is indeed a life-long endeavor!

Beyond the Book Report
Beyond the Book Report is our middle/early high school language arts curriculum. Beyond the Book Report is designed to pair with Analytical Grammar to provide a seamless, full-coverage, meaty, productful middle school language arts course that doesn’t take up your whole day. By using AG and BBR together (just add the vocab of your choice!), you can teach language arts in about an hour a day.
The course covers literary analysis, journalism, poetry, drama, essays, oral reports, and research papers spread over three seasons. The video lectures and student forms, worksheets, and rubrics are all on a computer DVD. For grades 6 and up.
Home Art Studio
Home Art Studio homeschool art curriculum DVDs are designed to increase students’ love and appreciation for the visual arts while providing an opportunity to improve their abilities to problem-solve, think creatively, and express themselves artistically. Art history lessons are also integrated throughout, as well as cross-curricular suggestions for math and social studies. Students are introduced to drawing, painting, and sculpting, while lessons emphasize how art is everywhere.
Just one lesson per week will allow you to complete the program in less than a year. You simply need to provide the supplies! Apologia Exploring Creation with General Science
Designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences, Exploring Creation with General Science, 2nd Ed. explores topics such as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, geology, archaeology, biology, anatomy and other disciplines, providing a wide range of scientific exposure. Hands-on experiments are included throughout, giving students practical experience as they discover the principles behind the science! Looking at the world from a creationist position, topics are all presented with an eye towards God’s role in everyday life.
This second edition includes updates on relevant topics as well as stylistic changes. The primary function of the appendix (discovered in 2006) has now been included, as have higher-quality drawings and more colorful illustrations. Online resources for advanced students and a review appendix have also been included in this 2nd edition. This kit contains both the student textbook and test/answer key booklet. Grade 7, but may be used with younger/older students as parents see fit.
Classical Historian American Government and Economics
