I do think Apologia does a good job of covering a subject. However, I do not have time to find all the lab incidentals. We ended up using a different curriculum for our second child. He has enjoyed it much more and I've been less stressed.
Gives students a thorough prep for high school science. Students truly understood subject upon completion. Labs easy and effective, not elaborate.
I would have liked to have seen more colorful photographs and diagrams.
I love apologia science. I've used this book with my oldest child and will use it with my youngest two children next year. My oldest child loved the text and the experiments.
We love Apologia products - their easy to use, colorful, the children enjoy using them because they're easy to understand and to work with while providing a solid understanding of the subject.
I love Alopogia Science Curiiculum as it is very torough, but still simple enough for the student to understand. My oldest child used this last year and my youngest two will be using it in a couple of years.
Did this with both of my sons and they liked it. A good work load for those going int high school.
My son enjoyed Apologia science courses in high school and he took three at a co-op with labs in class. He liked the way the material was presented in the book and felt it was easy to understand yet comprehensive.
Simple explanations to this course.
Our homeschooling journey began in the middle of my son's freshman year so he had a semester of physical science at a parochial school and we used this text for the rest of the year. We found however that Apologia's book was much more interesting to my student because of the thorough explanation of how the world is a product of God's design. My student did the reading and questions on his own and nightly we would discuss at the dinner table what he learned. He was anxious to share with my husband what he had gained from this book.
