  • TruthQuest History Middle Ages

TruthQuest History puts God back at the center of the past.
Centered on “living books,” this creative approach to history integrates elements of both Charlotte Mason and Classical methods.
Short, very informal introductions are written directly to the student and open up each topic with a distinctly Christian perspective. Suggestions for activities or writing exercises are often included as well. The booklists follow, with selected annotations on what pages or sections to read and appropriate grade levels for each entry. Incredibly flexible in nature, families can proceed at the pace that’s best for their students as they select “spines,” biographies, in-print books, and out-of-print classics from the extensive lists.

Proceeding chronologically, entries include lists for Mighty King Arthur, Augustine, Vikings, Alfred the Great, Robin Hood, Medieval towns, Marco Polo, Charles the Wise, and other relevant unit-study topics.

Grades 5-12; may be adapted for younger siblings. 146 pages, softcover, spiral-bound.

Full resource list is included at the back of the book.

  • Developmental Mathematics

Developmental Mathematics is composed of a complete workbook series progressing, level by level, through the basic elements of arithmetic into the beginnings of algebra. As a self- teaching program, Developmental Mathematics is ideal for self-paced learning, both accelerated and remedial. The student’s progress is tracked and monitored periodically through Scoring and Performance modules. Its teaching methods cultivate independent thinking through deductive-reasoning and problem solving. Mathematical concepts and computational skills are presented clearly and concisely to allow students to advance independently. In each lesson, the student is taken from the lowest level of knowledge to the highest level of mastery. Developmental Mathematics can be used as both a full curriculum and a supplemental aid.

There are 20 workbooks in the series, that go from K-12 grade.  Levels 1-16 cover elementary and middle school math, with 17-18 covering Algebra I and 19-20 covering beginning Geometry.

  • Teaching Textbooks Geometry

Teaching Textbooks Geometry Version 2.0 includes 16 chapters and 110 lessons that teach students the fundamental basics of geometry up through more difficult topics such as coordinate geometry, theorems, properties, and postulates. Chapters cover lines and angles, parallel lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, area, solid geometry, non-Euclidean geometries, and more. Problems modeled on questions found in the SAT/ACT are also included to help prepare students for standardized testing.

This applauded geometry curriculum was written specifically for homeschoolers; because Teaching Textbooks doesn’t presuppose a teacher constantly at the student’s side, the student chapters feature clear instructions and employ an easy conversational style of writing before transitioning to more proper terminology. Illustrations, examples and graphs have a hand drawn look to them, and problems often use engaging real life illustrations. Not only is the textbook easy to implement, but there are audiovisual lecture, practice, and solution CDs for every chapter, homework and test problem. Definitions, theories and more have their own reference portion in the back of the text.
