Trish is the owner of Hip Homeschool Moms. She also owns Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers, Homeschool Travel Adventures, Only Passionate Curiosity and Love These Recipes! She has been married to her best friend, David, for 25 years and they have three sons (ages 23, 22 and 18). Trish is from the coast of North Carolina, but they now live in rural West Tennessee on a 40+ acre farm. She has been homeschooling since 2009 and her homeschool style leans towards a Montessori approach with a heavy emphasis on hands-on learning. Trish’s family is Messianic and they love studying the Scriptures, learning Hebrew and growing in their faith and walk daily. In her spare time, Trish loves to travel, write, work in their garden and can regularly be found trying to learn something new, modeling that learning is indeed a life-long endeavor!

Kidcoder: Beginning Web Design
KidCoder provides the hands-on introduction to set them on their way! KidCoder: Beginning Web Design is the first semester course of the Web Design “KidCoder” course-year (followed by Advanced Web Design), and teaches students grades 4 & up how to create their own web pages using HTML, XHTML, and CSS.
Chapters cover basics of software and basic conventions, web design, “mark-up” language, way to create HTML, file extensions, specific HTML elements, CSS, NAV bards, cascading patterns, raptors, graphics, and more.
Important concepts, sidebars that highlight additional information, chapter review summaries, and “your turn” practice activities are highlighted within each chapter. Exploring World History
Providing students with an overview of world history from creation to the present day, Exploring World History from Notgrass Company is a full-year high school course that presents history from a Christian perspective. This course is comprised of two primary texts and a volume of primary documents. Each textbook unit is filled with conservational chapters and many full-color photographs of archival images, artifacts, and locations. In addition to reading the history narrative about events, issues, and people from around the world and across the centuries, students will read original documents, speeches, poems, and stories in In Their Words. They will also read classic literature (in books obtained separately) that help bring to life the time periods they are studying. Units begin with a summary and list of lessons, memory work, books used, and a project. From Adam to Us
From Adam to Us by Ray and Charlene Notgrass is a one-year world history and literature course designed for students in grades 5-8. The daily lessons are written in a narrative style and richly illustrated with color photographs and maps. Primary sources, literature, and hands-on activities help the student connect with the history in a personal way.
The curriculum has thirty chronological units of five lessons each. Each weekly unit has one lesson from each of five categories: major events in world history, how natural wonders of God’s creation influence history and culture, historic landmarks, biographies of influential people, and daily life and how it impacted technology and social change.
