Educating the WholeHearted Child Book Club – Week 5

It’s week 5 of the Hip Homeschool Moms Book Club! If you’re just joining us, you can get a copy of the version of the book we’re using here. We’ll be discussing Chapter 5 this week in the Hip Homeschool Moms private Facebook Community. If you’re not part of the community, you should be! We have a wonderful group of moms there who are happy to help answer questions and provide support. Whether you’re a new homeschooling mom, are considering homeschooling, or have been at it for a while, we’d love to have you join us there! Just click here and ask to join!

If you’d like a copy of the bookmark that the folks at Apologia created for us, you can get that by clicking here. That link will take you to both the color and black & white bookmarks. I like to keep one in my book and one out where I can see it to remind me to do my reading (and to create each week’s study guide)!

Speaking of this week’s study guide, you’ll need the Study Guide for Chapter 5 this week. It’s free for anyone who’s participating in the book club. (Please help us out by not sharing the study guide or the study guide link. If you know someone who wants the study guide, please direct her to this post–where she can download her own. Thank you!)

If you missed any of the previous weeks, you can get the study guides for those weeks by using the links below:

Each day, Trish will post a thread in the HHM Facebook Community where that day’s Book Club discussion will be held. This week, Monday, February 16, through Saturday, February 21, we will be discussing chapter 5. You can post your own comments, observations, or questions in that thread each day.

Now that we’re discussing the 5th chapter, we are discovering what a wonderful book this is! If you can’t join in the discussion, you may still want to get your own copy of the book, Educating the WholeHearted Child, just because it’s such a wonderful resource for Christian homeschooling families! (We will do more Book Club books–both secular and Christian–in the future, so if the current selection doesn’t fit your needs, you’ll want to be sure to watch for the next one that will be announced some time in May.) And of course you are welcome to visit the posts from weeks 1-4 (listed above) in order to download your own study guides for each of those weeks.

We hope you enjoy the reading and discussion of chapter 5 this week!

    1. Thank you so much, Cassandra! I’m glad you enjoy the study guides and that you enjoy looking at them too! I hadn’t read the book before we began this study, and I agree that it’s one that’s worth reading over again…even for a 3rd time! Thanks for your encouraging comment. 🙂
