Vocabulary Without Memorization Word Web Vocabulary groups words in a new way to teach vocabulary in elementary grades through high school. Part of each lesson presents a Greek or Latin root word, prefix or suffix in a web format of related words, making retention possible for students without memorization. Two other vocabulary elements are part of each week’s lesson: The Real WorldWord® and the Wicked Word of the Week®. Its multidimensional lessons provide sequential structure to its weekly words. Word Web ties together spelling, grammar and usage, reading and writing, speaking and listening into an existing language arts curriculum.

  • TruthQuest History Ancient Rome

TruthQuest History puts God back at the center of the past.
Centered on “living books,” this creative approach to history integrates elements of both Charlotte Mason and Classical methods.
Short, very informal introductions are written directly to the student and open up each topic with a distinctly Christian perspective. Suggestions for activities or writing exercises are often included as well. The booklists follow, with selected annotations on what pages or sections to read and appropriate grade levels for each entry. Incredibly flexible in nature, families can proceed at the pace that’s best for their students as they select “spines,” biographies, in-print books, and out-of-print classics from the extensive lists.

Proceeding chronologically, entries include lists for the Roman Monarchy, Roman Marvels, Punic Wars, Julius Caesar, Constantine, Barbarian Victory, Martin of Tours, Battle of Adrianpole, and other relevant unit-study topics.

Grades 5-12; may be adapted for younger siblings. 80 pages, softcover, spiral-bound.

Full resource list is included at the back of the book.

Jr. AG: Mechanics is best used RIGHT AFTER completing Jr. AG. It usually takes 15 weeks. For grades 4 and 5.

  • America from the Beginning

This new “hands-on” American history curriculum is perfect for elementary and junior high. Unlike most other U.S. history curricula for this age group, America from the Beginning starts at creation. From the start, kids learn a non-evolutionary perspective on how the very first inhabitants of America got here, and see the amazing similarities to other cultures. God’s grace toward the United States is obvious and unfolds in an exciting way as students discover the events, inventions, and people from Columbus to the modern day. Co-author Debbie Lawrence is also co-author of God’s Design for Science. Fun activities in each unit make learning easy and even more memorable!
