My children really enjoy this dvd class. I like how she weaves Scripture into her lessons also. We have enjoyed these so much, I plan to purchase the project series and my high schooler will be able to use it for a fine arts credit.
I highly recommend this series. Pat covers the basics of drawings with simple lessons. I've used the DVDs in a co-op setting, but your child can easily do it on their own. The whole series set includes some bonus projects involving other media besides pencil. The kids really enjoyed those as well, which make me want to check out her project series.
My daughter loves art .... and I don't. This curriculum was a life-saver for us!
Pat has a calm, gentle, & beautiful way of teaching on the DVD's. We love her. She shares her expertise in such an encouraging way. Instructions are clear on what is needed ahead of time for each lesson and it is minimal and manageable. Her tie-ins to the Bible and our Christian walk is so appreciated as an added element to this quality art program.
As a homeschool mom, I really love the See The Light Art Class program. My children and I all sit at the kitchen table and watch the DVD on our laptop. We have only made our way through the first disk in this 10 disk set, but have very much enjoyed the drawing lessons. I have two high schoolers who feel like the teacher is a bit juvenile (at least in the lessons we've watched thus far), however there is so much great information packed into the lessons that they are able to look past that. I plan to purchase the Art Projects set for some more variety in our art lessons for the coming school year.
