A New Way to Homeschool and an Unchanging Vision

For over 40 years, Alpha Omega Publications has strived to change education for the glory of God. That vision remains unchanged today as we continue to make a difference in the lives of homeschool families with budget-friendly subscription plans for Monarch online curriculum.

To uphold our mission of providing superior Christian academics, we created a revolutionary new approach to homeschooling with our Monarch subscription plans. These subscriptions provide individual learners and families complete access to 50 courses in grades 3-12. The unique structure makes it easy to customize learning across grade levels and helps families hand-pick the perfect combination of courses to match each child’s learning level.

For example, a child may be at a 7th-grade reading level, but still need to master 5th-grade math. Likewise, when a student finishes 5th-grade math, he’s free to move to 6th grade in that subject while continuing his 5th-grade work in other classes. The flexible setup also makes it easy for students to revisit difficult topics for review, such as reviewing pre-algebra concepts if a student is struggling in Algebra I.

The video below gives more information about the subscription program and how it works! Be sure to take a look to get more details.

Available in monthly and yearly formats, Monarch subscription plans provide families with a one-of-a-kind homeschool experience at a practical price. Both pricing options are available for an individual student or the whole family, with a convenient auto-renewal feature. Monthly payments make it easy to stick to your homeschooling budget, while yearly plans maximize savings, essentially providing families with two free months every year!

Since introducing Monarch subscription plans, many parents have responded to us with enthusiasm.

“What a blessing for AOP to offer a monthly plan,” said Sabrina, a homeschool mom from Georgia. “We just never could swing the lump sum for the school year. This way, it’s a small monthly payment. He loves it, and so do I!”

  1. I have a thirteen year old daughter who is completing her second year on Monarch. She loves it, and we do, too! Maddie completes her work on HER time schedule. Her father or I regularly check on her grades and grade items that need it. We are in complete control of her assignments — what days she has work, how long our school year runs, vacation days, etc. If we want to extend the time for an assignment, we have that ability, too.

Maddie has some learning disabilities that impact the speed with which she may complete things, but NOT her ability to think or succeed. Monarch provides her with the ability to choose when she does each type of work and how long she spends on it. She can review and relearn easily when needed. If we feel that she needs to re-do work to be sure that she has mastered it, we can reassign it as many times as needed. She also chooses when to tackle projects. (Writing is one of her difficulties, so she likes to have time that she is working JUST on projects, and not having to focus on a number of things at once. Because I grade the work, I can take into account her special needs and look at the quality of information, not her grammar or spelling issues.)

Last year, we wanted to be sure that her fifth grade skills in language were up-to-par, so we had her enrolled in both fifth and sixth grade language. Monarch is set up so that you can enroll in the classes you want/need for your child — regardless of whether or not they are in the same ‘grade level’.

We had tried some of the on-line public school programs, but they did not allow this flexibility. The stress of being in an on-line live class left Maddie frustrated and struggling with her work. Now, she laments that school will be over in three weeks!

I was a professional public school teacher for 20 years. I am so pleased to be able to homeschool my child with Monarch. My family highly recommends Monarch to anyone who is looking for a homeschool program that can really be tailored to your child.
