{Giveaway is now closed: scroll down to find out who won!!}

Hip Homeschool Moms team member review…

Have you ever just sat in front of an infomercial, with your mouth wide open in sheer amazement at what that “thing” can do? It not only slices and dices, but it bags and freezes it for you too? Yeah, that is how I felt about The Old Schoolhouse Homeschool Planner when I sat down to give it a try. It doesn’t slice and dice or even freeze (thank goodness), but it DOES manage your entire life from start to finish. This is not just a homeschool planner, this is a life planner. It goes way beyond the classroom.

Since I have not previously had the pleasure of experiencing The Old School House Planner before, I sat in amazement, literally with my jaw open,  as I scrolled through 24 pages of the table of contents. It is jam packed with every form, list, and resource you can imagine. If you need to know it or remember it, there is a form for it. Do you have a preschooler and want a supply list? It’s there. Do you have a high schooled student and need to make an official transcript? Yep, that is there too along with everything in between. I can’t possibly begin to list it all for you, but trust me on this…it’s good, really, really good.

The best part about it is that it is interactive. You can type in it from the calendars to the report cards. You can make journal pages from the various templates and you can organize your blog post ideas. There is even a bucket list. Nothing will get past you with this planner.

You have two options. It is available for download for only $39.00, or if you prefer having a CD on hand, you can order that for just $5.00 more and shipping is always free at the Schoolhouse Store. Only $39.00 for 819 pages of easily navigated “gold”. This is SUCH a good deal. Did I mention there is an address book in it as well along with forms to fit every kind of homeschooler? Are you an Unschooler? You’re covered! Are you a Unit Study kind of family? You have what you need! Do you prefer Co-ops? Well, there is plenty to help you make it happen. From lap-book forms and supply lists (with linkable websites) to planning your next outing to a homeschool convention, you are covered! School schedule forms are broken up for 9 weeks, 6 weeks, daily, or even hourly. You choose what works best for your family.

Oh, and I mustn’t forget to tell you about the homeschool articles from multiple homeschool veterans who shared their tips and great advice. It was like having the Top 25 Homeschooling Blogs all in one place!

The Old Schoolhouse Planner 2011-12 blew me away. I love it. I will use it to my hearts content and I hope you all will give it a whirl!  Be sure to follow The Old School House Magazine on Facebook and Twitter.

Anyway, just in case it is valid for me to enter, I’d really like to win this one because I’m a new homeschool mom. I only started homeschooling my daughter two weeks ago and we’re still getting used to it. I know there’s a lot that we both still have a lot to learn about this journey and I’m sure that this planner will just make the process easier and more enjoyable. Hope I win it!

Praying I win this!!!!!

Will share on FB as well!!!

  • My daughter is only 2 1/2, but we’re trying to do some “tot schooling” now and looking at homeschooling in the future. One of the things I’m most concerned about is the fact that I’m incredibly disorganised and need to have some structure imposed on me, or I don’t get things done. Maybe this planner could help to do that!

  • I would love this! This will be my first year homeschooling and I could use all the help i can get. My kidos are 6,4 and 2ish. This would save me alot of time. Thanks for having the giveaway.

  • I really need something to help me organize all my life’s activities. This would be awesome. 🙂

  • I think this planner might be the one I’m looking for. I’ve tried half a dozen planners and hated every one of them so far. I love that it’s digital, so if I hate it I don’t have to throw away a ton of paper.

    Christine in OH

  • I would SO love to win this planner! I have been interested in having it for a long time, but could not justify the expense.

  • I REALLY need to get organized. I have been looking at this planner as well as the one from A Well Planned Day. Hoping to win and I wouldn’t have to choose!

  • I have a planner with reproducible forms I’ve been using for the past 7 years, but I would love to have the interactive forms with everything on my computer. This sounds like a great planner!

  • I would loooove to have this planner. I could use it! Our homeschooling can be so random most days and I need something to help my regulate our schedule.

  • I would love to win this! I am a full time student(going back to get my Bachelors in Nursing). I am attending an online school that I do at night. I work 2 part time jobs to help make ends meet, and I homeschool. We are out for the summer, but I know this resource would be a tremendous help in organizing my homeschool. Also since I am homeschooling my 17 year old son (on top of my 11year old daughter and my 3 year old daughter) the high school transcript portion would be a God send!

  • This is our first year homeschooling and my biggest fear is organization and planning. I believe this could be a lifesaver!

  • I will be starting my second year of homeschooling in August and I need all ths help I can get! I have 3 kits to school and 2 others that will need to be entertained while we school. I am still figuring out how to do that. I think a good planner will help.

  • Being a fairly new homeschool family of two years and counting and teaching four children (15, 13, 11, 8) with different learning styles and personalities I believe this would benefit our family a great deal to be able to stay on task, and schedule our activities as well and not become over whelmed life all homeschoolers do regardless if they are veterans or new ones.

  • I need all the help I can get in the organization department. I love that you can type in the forms and print just what you need.

  • Of course like most, budget is tight .. And, I’ve tried creating my own planner pages but nothing seems to work out. This looks like an answer – with so many different pages there’s bound to be something that works!

  • I would love to win this planner as I am having to go back to work full time and know that in order to make homeschooling work I have to be organized. I have been looking for an online planner or something that could be easily updated without having to rewrite so many of the same things. Thanks to Tammy’s review, I feel that this would be an incredible resource to help me continue homeschooling my 12 year old son.

  • I’d like to win because I’ve been looking for something that will do all of this ELECTRONICALLY. So many homeschool planners are paper based and my life just doesn’t work in that static environment.

  • I would LOVE to have this planner. I’ve been receiving the Old Schoolhouse Magazine e-mails for over a year now & I love the information in each one. However, our budget doesn’t allow for one “frivolous” extra so I haven’t been able to purchase anything from the TOS Mag store. 🙁 And ALL their stuff looks fantastic!
My kids are ready for second grade hs but I am SO NOT! I would love to have the TOS Planner as my little guiding light for our next homeschool year! Seriously-I need the peace I know it would bring!! 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win it!

    Megan 🙂

  • I would love to try this planner. I will be starting my 3rd year of home schooling and I have a 7th grader and a 2nd grader. I would like to get better organized so we can plan field trips and other “bonuses” of being home schooled but I seem to run out of day before we get to the fun things. 🙁

  • I would like to win because this is my first year homeschooling my second grader. I have a Preschool and a 2 year old. The planner might help me keep things all together that might otherwise be scattered here and there!

  • I would love it. I am hoping to start a new part-time job. It would help me to organize my life.

  • Also shared this on Facebook (and evidently I can’t spell, sorry for the typo in my last post – ugh!)

  • I would like to win because I am trying to use things I already have for the next school year and I am doing my own lesson plans and not using preplanned items.

  • I would really love to win this because it would be a huge help in my organization of homeschooling and keeping track of everything needed legeally I would assume it has sceduling, roll call, etc. I am really new at this and would love something to help me out with pk and k even though not official age for homeschooling in my state yet I still need to make sure he knows everything for pk and k years before he turns 6 another year to go to do official curriculim. I am already a fan on facebook. Thanks for the change to win for my son’s sake and education.

  • I would really like to win this because it looks like a really great tool in helping us with the admin part of homeschooling. We, like a lot of homeschoolers, have a really tight budget and we need to use what cash we have on specific curriculum for the kiddos. Thanks for the opportunity for a homeschool fam to win a copy!

  • These planners are GOLD for eclectics HSers like us. With a low budget past few years, i resort to trying to make or find free record forms. It is way too time consuming and disappointing. Would LOVE my own copy of this year’s planner for my high schooler and preschooler!!

  • With children from preschool – high school, I would love to get organized with this planner. Last year was a challenge because of health issues in our family, and anticipating that next year could be as challenging, I am hoping to get a bit ahead of myself over the summer with some planning. This would be great for that!

  • I would love this because I need to get organized for the coming school year. Have some of their old ones and would love the current one.

  • We have just made the decision that we are for sure going to homeschool this year and I am feeling extremely overwhelmed with all the decisions I need to make very quickly. The amount of money coming out of our bank account is adding up as well, which is quite a shock since my kids have been in public schools the past couple of years and our costs for that have been very low. Having this planner would help tremendously in the organization department without breaking the bank!

  • I don’t know if I entered or not….{sorry} if not please enter me, I need a new planner for next school year!

  • I only just begun a year ago, and can take any help available. Thanks for even this opportunity!

  • This past year was my first year home schooling and it didn’t go very well. The positive side is that my children are only 4 and 5, I still really want to home school them and I learned a lot from my mistakes. One of the main problems I had was that the year wasn’t organized well enough and I am not naturally organized. I realized that I couldn’t survive without a planner! I have been searching around and I’ve read wonderful things about this planner and would be thrilled to use it this year. We have had two tough years in a row and our budget is very small so it would also be a huge blessing. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I was able to use this planner for part of this last school year when TOS put it on sale. I definitely didn’t get to utilize it the way I would’ve liked since I didn’t have it for the whole year. We just can’t afford it at the full price, even though it is definitely worth it. I would LOVE to win the planner for the coming year! It would be such a blessing and help in organizing our homeschool. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I would love to win this. Last year was our first time homeschooling, and we’re still getting our feet wet. I definitely need something that not only helps me get organized, but gives lists of resources and idea’s. I know this planner would be a great help to us all.

  • For us, this upcoming school year will be unlike any of the other 9. This year we will have our first high schooler. That will give us a range of 5 students from 1st grade through 9th grade. Anything that will help us be more organized and prepared is a wonderful thing!

  • I would absolutely LOVE to win this planner! I am just starting into my first year of homeschooling with a 6-year-old and 5-year-old, and have to keep up with my 2-year-old and 1-year-old while schooling the older ones. Our schedule has been absolute chaos, and no matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to get things organized and in working order. This planner would save my sanity and amp up my kids’ education. I’d buy it but, like many others, finances just won’t allow for it.

  • This looks like a wonderful planner! This will be my first year homeschooling my twin daughters, ages 9. We are all so excited about our new adventure. I am trying so hard to get organized. I do not want to let my girls or myself down! I would love this planner to help start our adventure in the right direction!!

  • I would love to try The Old Schoolhouse Planner!! It sounds wonderful and just what my life needs!
