It was the summer of 2010 when Meghan and I decided to start Hip Homeschool Moms.
Truth be known, we had no idea that what started out as a fun little blog hop for homeschool moms would turn into an ever-growing community of thousands of homeschool moms supporting and encouraging each other in such life changing ways.
Over the past year and a half, we have received so many kind emails from members of our community, but the ones that we received from a few of you telling us that if it wasn’t for the encouragement that you found on our facebook page or website, you would have given up homeschooling altogether, touched our hearts the most!
So, on this day when so many of us are spending time around the dinner table with family and friends giving thanks, we wanted to pause and say THANK YOU to all of you that love and support the Hip Homeschool Moms community everyday. You are a blessing to me and to the entire Hip Homeschool Moms team and we are so thankful for each and every one of you!
Happy Thanksgiving.
Sue lives in sunny Arizona with her handsome husband, tween-aged son, and spoiled little ShihTzu, Princess Leia. She’s been happily homeschooling for 6 years. She loves serving in her church, her DSLR camera, and finding creative ways to get out of doing the laundry whenever possible! You can find Sue blogging over at The Homeschool Chick.

As a mom of four kids, sometimes I struggle with the battle between wanting to capture the moments of our lives and living the moments of our lives. I love photography and I love having photos of our celebrations, day to day life, and big milestones. However, sometimes I feel like I am so busy…
We all have seasons where busyness threatens to consume us. We’re so busy that our homes become a dumping ground as we finally get back to the house because we are too exhausted to even entertain the idea of cleaning things. Dentist appointments, doctor visits, family pictures, music lessons, play dates, and field trips have…
I watch her as she struggles with her stroller and a crying baby and a wandering toddler while she desperately tries to pick fresh corn at the market. She’s sweating in the sun. “I’ll take 10…” she shouts it at the vendor and she’s slightly frantic. I remember that feeling. The feeling that everyone is staring and you’re…
