Booster Seat Has Been Recalled

We know that as moms, we want to know about products that present a health hazard to our families. We assume that, just like us, you want to know about them as soon as possible as well. So when we see a recall that might impact our families, we will share them immediately. We want to tell you about this booster seat that has been recalled for applying excessive force on the child’s chest.

Product Recalled

Harmony Juvenile Products (Harmony) is recalling almost s150,000 Harmony Big Boost Deluxe booster seats. In the event of a crash, the seat belt may cause excessive force to be applied to the restrained child’s chest. Therefore, these products fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 213, “Child Restraint Systems.”

What to do?

Per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not provided a notification schedule yet so owners may contact Harmony customer service at 1-877-306-1001.
