I would recommend the apologia science series as it is a very thorough biblically based curriculum. I especially love the creation confirmation section of each chapter.

Another good one that my children (and I) loved, and learned so much from! We took turns reading this one together, we did not have journals for this book, but they are an amazing resource.

We love the Apologia books! Always the first subject they want to do each day. Written in such a way that they are informative yet very interesting for children.

We love the Apologia products! My son loves to read these independently, but we have had success using them as a multi-level study. Great experiments and activities.

We've loved using it this year! I thought it may be a bit too much for my son, but he has LOVED it! We've used it with the Junior Notebook, but you don't have to. He's retained quite a bit of information and enjoyed the process. That's a win win!
I love apologia science. I've used this book with my youngest children. They loved the easy to understand text and the beautiful pictures.

My kids loved this book! So many amazing creatures and interesting facts presented. We read the chapters at home a couple days per week, (often looking the creatures up on YouTube for fun), completing a chapter every 2 weeks. We then joined a group of friends to do the experiments and "try this" activities. This made it even more fun! All the experiments were doable, even the dissections! The journals seem to have a lot of neat places to take notes, draw, etc. but neither of my kids seemed interested in using them, unfortunately. We are looking forward to moving on to Zoology 3 with my soon to be 5th grader and High School Biology with my soon to be 9th grader!

The best curriculum I've taught my kids to date. Our favorite subject in a thorough, fun, and fascinating format including several hands-on activities. We learned a ton!

My kids LOVED this book! My daughter would take it with her everywhere and read through it at least twice independently when she was in 1st grade! I really LOVE all Apologia science texts we have used and highly recommend them. Each chapter has hands on activities that deepen your students learning and offer lists of books that correspond to the material being taught. I also really like the Notebooking journals! It is a fun way for my kids to document the information they have learned.

We love all the Apologia subjects we have tried. They are fantastic at getting deep into the topic but still explaining it at a child's level so they can understand.

I co-taught a co-op class using this curriculum and it was a blast. The kids loved the material and were so enthusiastic. We did a lot of lap booking which was a great way to encourage writing skills and have a great keepsake at the end of the year. Jenny Fulbright's writing style is very engaging and I found that the kids owned this material which gave them confidence with their learning.

This book makes learning fun. My son loved it and we learned so many things. Bright colors, interesting and lots of detail. I highly suggest using the journals with these textbooks, it reinforces what they learn in a fun way.
We love this book! Great quality real photos, introduces real terminology, in depth coverage of material, and my children ask for it!

It's hard to say who loves this curriculum more, me or my daughter. We both look forward to science days. The information is engaging and interesting! We've learned so many cool facts and she loves working on the activities, especially her ocean box.

My fifth grade daughter chose this as her science this past year and absolutely loved it! She loved the reading and I did as well, lots of information and I learned new things as well. She did the notebooking journal and lots of the experiments as well. Would love to try others in this series.
I really love this curriculum. In fact, I liked it so much, I took this on vacation with us so we could study the salt-water topics! When we returned home, we finished the fresh water ones. LOVED it!
