We have been successful using thus program with my daughter who has dyslexia. It's very hard for her to work with a spelling list that doesn't appear to have a rhyme or reason, but this is phonics based so she's able to focus on using a phonic rule to spell.

My kids love this spelling curriculum! The hands on building of the words with the tiles just makes so much sense. It is great for my boys who need to use their hands to build things. The teachers guide is easy to use, everything is laid out for parents who want to use this curriculum. I love that the publisher also has a lot of additional resources on their website as well. Highly recommended.

I started using this when my son was in third grade. Some of the spelling words were a bit simplistic, but reinforced the concepts very well. We lost two tiles when we dropped the board, that is the only downside. My son has been remembering the concepts and it works awesome.

I like how easy this program makes it to teach spelling rules! There are a lot of those rules and each level reinforces those rules as you progress. The only downside is that if you lose a tile, you cannot easily replace it.

Not only has this taught my little one to spell, it has taught me a few things, too. They also have great customer service! We will be using it until the end.

My hands on learner loved his first year of All About Spelling. He really enjoyed using the tiles and gained a sense of accomplishment when mastering the cards. He really remembers the rules he learns and applies them to new words. I am now having my poor spelling 7th grader go through the program.

My daughter and I loved All About Spelling. She loved using the tiles and white board. I think it gave her a good base for spelling. I like that it teaches (and reviews) the spelling rules and exceptions instead of just having them memorize word lists. This is a perfect curriculum for your social/creative child.

Another great product by all about learning press. A great tool to go along with All about Reading, or to be used on its own. Helping my dyslexic daughter learn the rules of spelling so she is improving.

We started using All About Spelling last school year for my 3rd grader. We started at level 1 and I was amazed at how much he is learning. My son has a learning disability that makes reading & spelling difficult. AAS has been wonderful. He feels so accomplished because he is actually learning how to spell instead of memorizing words for the test like he did in public school. We will continue to use AAS & AAR until we complete the curriculum.

My daughter is reluctant to write, but will always write the words/phrases for the week without arguing. She likes being able to mark off each completed lesson. Lessons are short and they it's easy to pick and choose how much is enough for each child. I highly recommend All About Spelling!

This program did not work for us... my son, the perfectionist, was so frustrated with this program. He was reading at a 4th grade level in first grade - knows phonics... but really struggled with this program. It did not help him connect phonics to spelling words. I found the teacher guide choppy.

I am using this with 2 students, one of whom is older and dyslexic. I like it for both. We can go at our own pace. For more evenly matched students it would be easy to do them together, but I work with each one separately. We simply work for 20 minutes (by a timer) and stop where we are. I always do the reviews even if we have stopped in the middle of a Step. Some are done in 20 minutes, some take 2-3 days. It is so customizable, and I love that. It is also so affordable compared to the other program I was considering for my dyslexic child. I plan to use it all the way through the levels. Wish I'd had it from the beginning!

I would have added a few more review cards in level 2, but there are some blank cards to add your own, which is very nice.

Yes, highly. Wish I had had this with my older children.

This program took my non reading 5 year old, and by the end of the year, her interest in reading was so great, she was on her own picking up chapter books and reading away! Love the program, and will continue to use for the rest of the curriculum!

All About Spelling has been a phenomenal curriculum for us. My 7 year old is turning into quite the spelling master. This program has helped tremendously with phonetic awareness and teaching the exceptions to rules. The English language is tough! It can be confusing to know which way to spell a certain word, but this curriculum covers every aspect of that. I will continue using this for all of my kids.

I love AAS. It teaches spelling in such a clear, methodical, ease to understand way. My 1st grader is in level 2 now and doing great while my struggling 4th grader is using level 3 at a fairly quick pace. It seems to be helping him with areas in which he was struggling before. I love that the review is built in so I don't forget anything. I also really like the word analysis they introduce in level 3. I would highly recommend this product.
