We have been reading and using Usborne books since our daughter was born. They were a fantastic way to start out reading to a newborn, and the baby books are fantastic. Now, with our schooling at a grade 1-2 level, we use them to supplement our curriculum.

Beautifully illustrated, usually the content is to the depth we like, fun, and engaging.
Cons
Some of the books could have a bit more information on the subjects.
