This course provides a close-up look at famous composers, their music, and their times, with special attention to character traits and Christian testimony (or lack thereof). There is quite a lot of information and options in this one book! You can choose to utilize all of them, or just a few. The read is quick but gives some good information. It's not super in-depth but enough to get a feel for the composer. If your child takes a particular interest in one of them, i would recommend checking out a more thorough biography and going deeper. It's written chronologically, which makes it easy to do along with history. There are games for helping the kids memorize composer info, maps and timelines, even coloring pictures for younger siblings!

photocopying the note cards is a challenge because of the binding (but not a deal breaker!)

There is so much here! I wanted something to introduce my oldest to the history of classical music, because he really enjoys listening to it. This definitely gives us a years worth of learning and is very easy for me to work with.
