These simple Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks make the perfect game day recipe! I love to add them to the slow cooker Sunday morning, and by game time they are ready. It’s one of my favorite easy recipes!
It’s football season! Which means lots of yummy game day food in my house! My husband is a big football fan, and during the fall our Sunday afternoons are spent watching the games. For me, I would rather spend my time in the kitchen making the food for the game. Slow cooker recipes are my favorite–little work and bold flavor! If you can’t handle spicy food (like my hubby), you can customize this recipe easily to your taste. When we have a big crowd, I love to serve these Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks along with some of my other game day favorites like my Loaded Nacho Fries, and Sausage Cream Cheese Dip.
Start by placing your chicken drumsticks (or chicken wings–either would work) into the slow cooker. I topped mine with ranch dressing, but blue cheese dressing also works in this recipe. If you would prefer it to be mild, then add more dressing and less hot sauce.
Next add the the hot sauce to your slow cooker. Allow the Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks to cook on high for 3-4 hours (or until the chicken is fully cooked). I add mine in the slow cooker in the morning so by the afternoon game they are ready to eat. I usually serve mine with some celery sticks and extra sauce for dipping.
- 1 lb, Chicken Drumsticks (or wings)
- 12 oz, Ranch Dressing
- 12 oz, Franks Hot Sauce
- Place all ingredients into the slow cooker. Cook on high for 3-5 hours or until chicken is fully cooked.
- Optional: Serve with extra dressing (for dipping) and celery sticks.
What is your favorite game day recipe? Do you love to watch football or are you more of a fan of the social time? Either way you are sure to enjoy these Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks!
