SM is the best math curriculum I've found. The lessons are engaging and they focus on multiple ways to approach a problem and with elementary math there is a bigger focus on mental math than I've seen in other curriculum. I love how the levels are broken into two books each. With the lesson book, the workbook, and the supplemental book you can buy, there is so much extra practice you never have to worry about hunting around on the web to find practice sheets that fit what you are working on.
I am using Primary Singapore Math 3A/3B US Edition this year with my third grade daughter. So far, we are enjoying it. It takes about a half hour to get through the daily lessons and work. It is challenging, but not too hard. This curriculum seems to be a good fit for us, and I am already planning on using 4A and 4B next year.
My daughter was initially uninterested in math, she always told me it was too hard, Singapore math changed that. The lessons are simple and colorful, so they keep her attention. Each math concept is taught thoroughly and is given ample problems to practice. We love this program.
