Easy to follow. A wide variety of options for each lesson. Hands on Learning for every subject. Interesting and makes learning fun.
Cons
My kids would prefer a daily, not weekly schedule. This is laid out by week. Sometimes, it is a bit overwhelming to see it all at once. They prefer a daily breakdown.
This was our first curriculum - and foray into the world of homeschooling. We really enjoyed it and are using Oak Meadow again this year. Last year, we used it and liked it, but found that we needed to supplement quite a bit with the math and science. This year, knowing that, I am ready :). Regardless, I love the format and that it's all laid out by week for you - and even with supplementation, it is easy to use / follow / integrate with other stuff. Love it. And, I love that the pace is a little slower - it works for a more peaceful home!!

Pros
all in one, deliberate / slower pace than many, story-based
Cons
science is great in some places and lacking in others, would be nice if the health curriculum was simply included in the syllabus books
I have used 5th grade math and 6th grade "main lesson" (history, geography, language arts) with my daughter this past year with great results. Schoolwork had become a daily battle, but with Oak Meadow we both enjoy doing school again. I find it easy to adapt the curriculum to the unique needs of my child, who is academically gifted but also has ADHD, ASD and other issues. The seasonal, nature based approach and hands-on focus fit well with our family and make it easy to include my toddler in our daily activities. We will be using the 7th grade curriculum this coming year, and are really looking forward to it.
We love Oak Meadow, their gentle creative approach has helped my child excel in ways that traditional school teachers doubted she could because of undiagnosed dyslexia. The curriculum is beautifully written and very easy to use and apply to your daily life. It does require the parent depart from the world view of "education" because it seems to simplistic and slow to actually work; in the end it teaches an inch wide but miles deep and brings amazing changes for the better in the student and parent.

Pros
Easy to use, complete cirriculum, fun, in depth, well organized
Cons
there is not an easily accessible option for dyslexic students
I started using the methods of learning for pre k with my 1.5 year old who is now 2.5 they have awesome suggestions and the curriculum is broad enough you can make it apply for your life style. Yet structured enough that you can actually accomplish something. My daughter loves learning thanks to this program because I am able to do it in a fun way.

Cons
its hard to for me to memorize some of the songs while trying to take care of a toddler or find time to read the book before hand so that I can use the program
