I made pecan pie for the first time this Thanksgiving. I was quite amazed at how easy they are to make. And quite frankly shocked at the amount of sugar they contain. I have a sweet tooth as much as the next gal, but I gave up white sugar a while back. Could I still make pecan pie with an alternative to corn syrup? I found my answer in light agave nectar. And instead of white, bleached sugar, I use organic or raw. My concern: Would it still come out right?

  1. I have been looking for a natural sugar pecan pie recipe for ages now. I’m from the south and spent most of my holiday meals enjoying these. Since moving up north and changing our diets I’ve rarely made one because of the corn syrup. Thank you so much for posting this!
