I started this when my son was in 4th grade and it was too stressful for him. When I started it when he was in 9th grade he did much better and really enjoyed it. He did it with his 5th grade sisters. His sisters did fine. I am not sure if doing it with someone made it more manageable for him or because he was older and more mature. In any case, I am glad we gave it another try because we all really enjoyed studying Latin together.
