Home Learning Institute Giveaway {closed}
Does your homeschooler love online classes, but they are just too pricey? Still looking for a complete online curriculum for your child between grades 5-12? Home Learning Institute has the answer!
For one low fee, you can have access to over 90 online courses covering core subjects and many electives. A separate teacher log-in for the parent is included with answer keys and even an online gradebook.
Home Learning Institute‘s courses are standards-based across multiple states and National standards. They are organized into individual lessons, providing opportunities for students to focus on manageable increments of course work. The activities are designed to elicit a variety of responses appropriate for multiple intelligences, skill levels, interests, and learning styles. Each year-long course contains 36 weekly lessons with a 4 to 5 hour workload per lesson (totaling approximately 144 class hours). Each lesson represents one week in the traditional school calendar, and includes a built in test or quiz. A semester course contains 18 lessons. Students may enroll at any time throughout the year and proceed at a pace that meets their needs.
Each course contains complete lesson plans, answer keys, assessments and a parent/teacher response component for each question. Home Learning Institute lets you, the parent, function as the teacher, and you direct your student’s education as you feel best suits his or her needs. You are free to include or exclude any parts you wish, as well as add special assignments to enhance the course of study.
The electronic grade book provides 24/7 access to each student’s progress and archives past quizzes and tests that can be reviewed online at any time. For an additional fee, we can provide the option of hiring an experienced teacher to handle grading and assist your student throughout the course.
In addition to traditional courses, Home Learning Institute also offers Honors courses in the subject areas of English, history and science. Our Honors courses meet the needs of college-bound students seeking a challenging academic curriculum in a distance learning environment. The Honors program offers students an exciting opportunity to develop the critical thinking, research, and writing skills so essential to academic and professional success. We also offer foreign language courses through Powerspeak, for an additional fee.
