Fun with Food: Veggie Cheese People

  • cheddar cheese (cut in small blocks and other shapes)
  • baby carrots
  • grape tomatoes
  • 1 small zucchini (cut in rounds and short sticks)
  • 1 small yellow squash (cut in rounds and short sticks)
  • sliced olives
  • miniature pickles
  1. Start by threading several veggie pieces onto a skewer. This will be the torso.
  2. Use toothpicks to attach edible arms, legs, and head.
  3. Older kids can use kitchen scissors to snip small pieces off veggies to make hair or facial features.
  4. If you want your people to stand up, just stick the end of the skewer into a small block of cheese.
