Homemade Muesli Recipe
  • 4 c. rolled oats
  • ½ c. wheat germ
  • ½ c. wheat bran
  • ½ c. oat bran
  • 1 c. chopped dried fruit of choice
  • ½ c. sliced almonds
  • ¼ c. sunflower seeds
  • ¼ c. shredded coconut (optional)
  1. Combine all ingredients in an air tight container. Store for up to 2 months in your cupboard. You can serve this cereal hot or cold. While I like my homemade Pumpkin Flax Seed Granola cold, I prefer muesli hot. But, I will give you directions for both.
  2. Hot-Add equal parts hot water, milk or soy milk -your choice- and muesli. bring to a boil and then let rest on simmer for 3 or 4 minutes. Stir once or twice as needed and all liquid is absorbed. You can also cook in the microwave for 3-5 minutes. Then simple add what you like and serve.
  3. Cold-Add equal parts milk, almond milk, or soy milk -your choice- and muesli. Soak for 5-10 min. and serve.
  4. Sweeten with honey or raw sugar as desired.
