My daughter has always loved to color and doodle. She loves receiving the Dover catalog and pouring over all of the choices. We have used Dover coloring books to enhance our history and art curriculum. A few of the books we have used are: Color Your Own Italian Renaissance, Kings and Queens of England, Blackbeard, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and Around the World. Dover coloring books are great to use while reading aloud to your children; the coloring keeps their minds focused on the words being read.
I always look for Dover books at used sales. I am not sure I would pay full price. But they are great to flip through or color during breaks, waiting room visits, or while mom reads out loud from core book.
Great publisher with an amazing variety of books for homeschoolers. Great for students to expand a unit or for homeschool mom's who love to color for relaxing at the end of a long, hard day. These are also great to tailor with your read alouds so kids can color related material while you are reading. You can't go wrong with Dover!
My clan of homeschoolers loves using Dover books to add to what they are studying. We have used colorbooks to enhance science and history units. Highly recommend!
I like Dover books because they have such a variety at an affordable price. We've used their coloring books, little sticker books and maze books, which are great for trips. They are also a reasonable-priced supplement to our homeschool studies.
