Our family has been using BJU Distance Learning for the last couple years and it has totally changed the atmosphere of our home in a very positive way!! School used to be a drudgery for us and we were doing the old repeat and memorize and drill method. Now it is fun and the children are always sharing what they are learning with each other and me!! The lessons in each subject work to build godly character in the children. The teachers on the distance learning are top notch! I can't tell you how many times my children have stopped their DVDs because they are laughing so hard and they want the rest of us to see what is so funny!! The DVDs have a lot of great content- not just a teacher and classroom that your child "watches." They are interactive!! They use puppets, video clips, and computerized images to help teach your child. Also, many subjects use a number of manipulatives to help reinforce the skill that is being taught. Every grade we have used has been a big hit with the kids and with me!! I have time for the "fun" side of being a mom now, because I am not bogged down with lesson planning and teaching!! Now I can read to the kids and make them cookies and plan fun outings. Life is good with BJU Distance learning!!!

We have been using BJU distance learning full grade kits for 7 years now. I don't know if I could homeschool without it. I know my children are receiving a quality Christian education and I don't have to teach every subject! We educate all three of our children for less than the cost of tuition for 1 child at a private Christian school. I have them tested yearly and they perform above average and I know they are learning what they need to learn for their ages and grade levels.

We began homeschooling our oldest 25 years ago with BJU Press. It was easy to use with the different personalities & learning styles of our children. BJU Press provides much support from experienced homeschoolers and Press employees. We were excited that it is based on the Bible as well as taught logically with many beautiful pictures and hands on activities balanced with writing projects. Critical thinking is built in. I didn't have to figure out what to add to cover all needed subject matter - it was all there. They taught me how to be a teacher and provide many optional resources. Then there is the added benefit of having the DVDs for the subjects I wasn't able to teach or we choose to have a change from Mom. BJU Press provided our children with great textbooks to get an excellent education.; they were well prepared for college & for life!

For years, I was scared of the price tag of BJU and thought we'd never "afford" it. I pieced together bits and pieces of used and various things. But when my oldest was in 3rd we started using their Writing & Grammar and LOVED it. Little by little, we tried more and more of their subjects and kept going back. Before I knew it, I had 2 little ones and 4 elementary levels to teach and could NOT do it on my own. After much prayer, my husband and I decided to make using the distance learning a priority in our budget and we could NOT be happier. We are graduating our first this year and I feel that due to the high level of this curriculum not only is she a godly, solid Christian, she is well prepared for whatever future holds for her. I will DEFINITELY be sticking with BJU and distance learning for many years to come and will do whatever it takes to afford it!

I have used the workbooks, teacher’s editions as well as DVD’s for 9 years now. The children love the colorful work text pages and great stories in the readers. I love the teacher’s editions as they give many great examples and fun ideas on how to keep the children interested and learning. The DVD’s are filled with entertaining and educational material and keep the children’s attention. I would recommend all of their products to any homeschool family!

I started my homeschool journey using all different curriculum. The farther we went along, the more we switched to BJUP. It's simply the best thing we've found. It's Biblically-integrated, scholastically excellent, and thorough. The kids like it better than the other things we have used. I like it because it's easy to use and I know my kids are getting a great education.

We have used BJU Press distance learning for 3 years and love it. I prefer using an all in one curriculum and chose BJU for several reasons. First, I watched sample videos on their website and realized the teachers would be teaching only my child instead of a whole classroom with my child as an observer. My kids had been in a Christian school and honestly I didn't want them to miss playing the games and all the activities involved in a classroom. On the BJU videos the teachers still play games, but engage only my child. Secondly, the readers are illustrated beautifully and the stories captivate their interest. I also love the focus on comprehension, rather than just the ability to read the words. Lastly, the online distance learning is just awesome. There is a theme for every subject in every grade with little skits on review days, etc. There are videos of animals they're learning about or foreign countries they are studying. Not too long ago, my first grader had several reading lessons on the "Cranky Blue Crab". When he was finished there was a complete little puppet show of the entire book. So, he and his siblings had a little show with popcorn and all. All this to say, the curriculum is definitely making learning fun!

My wife teaches our 3 children and she has never been happier than using BJU. I thought at first it was expensive and we should find something for next to nothing...I learned I was wrong. This is worth every penny. Manuals have great resale value if you need to recoup cost.

BJU contains all the information needed to fully cover an entire year worth of each subject. Some subjects, such as math, also allow easy customization for each student depending on their ability level and interest. Subjects also overlap content which is nice for reinforcement. Curriculum is solidly based on a biblical worldview.

We have used BJU textbook kits for all subjects during the past 3 years. My son loves the graphics and pictures which helps to keep his attention. We are planning to try the Online Distance Learning BJU program this year. I'm anxious to see how it goes. I have been impressed how BJU covers everything needed for year end test. I always felt my son was prepared.

We have used the reading books for three years to enhance our literature and reading comprehension program.
BJU provides a reader with reading comprehension guide and activities to match in each set, which is very interesting and convenient. I love that the story are always Godly and teaching Christian values, often about missionary's. My kids, both DS and DD, find them very engaging and love the activities. The reading comprehension though can often require more abstract thought than my advanced readers were ready for. Just because they can read the book, doesn't mean they are capable of those levels of analysis. We just skimmed some questions over as needed.

I used the DVDs for 2 years and loved them. My special needs daughter really enjoyed them and learned a lot. However, she was not able to keep up with the amount of work required. The teachers are very good and the material is presented clearly and thoroughly. I highly recommend BJU for anyone looking for an "all-in-one" curriculum.

I have loved every BJU subject we used over the years, more importantly, my children love it too. Our favorites are reading, bible, and math. English is a solid course, with plenty of writing skills taught. It is wonderful how BJU shows us God's hand in every subject, it keeps us focused on Him throughout the day.

Simply the best distance learning curriculum on the market. It is engaging, fun and my kids ASK to start school. They feel like their teachers really know them. We even met a few of their teachers last year. The teacher talks directly to your child. It feels more like private tutoring. There are crafts, literature units, cooking projects, activities, plays, virtual field trips, plays, etc. BJU saves our homeschool!
