My son attempted this textbook for his high school physics course in his senior year. He found it particularly difficult to do on his own without the benefit of an instructor. He ended up switching to a video series that worked much better for him as it included animations of the principles being taught.

Having said that, I do really like the Apologia Science curricula. They are well laid out, user friendly and require very little teacher prep. The courses that our family has used have done a wonderful job of preparing our students for college level science.
