Apologia is one of the first products I look for as the years progress. All three of my sons love it. I can testify that each year when they are tested, they know the science answers! One of my sons is going to take Advanced Chemistry because he loves the product so much!
Another great product from Apologia ! Comprehensive and thorough, and yet fun and thought provoking for the child. The Exploring Creation set will envelope both student and teacher with a great sense of wonder and joy of Gods wonder and fill them with biblical knowledge.

Pros
Really excellent and thorough coverage of Creation ! The journaling sections are great tools as well, allowing improvements in writing and spelling.
Cons
Definitely for grades 2 and up.
Do you recommend?
Absolutely! We have also used the Exploring Anatomy series and have found them to both be wonderful additions to our curriculum.
We have used Apologia Young Explorers Astronomy and Apologia Marine Biology (high school) and really enjoyed them! We have also used Abeka science and I definitely prefer the Apologia. The curriculum is easy to use and the kids love all the hands-on opportunities in the curriculum. First choice every year!
We have been using the Apologia Young Explorers series for several years now and love it!! Science is not a subject that I enjoyed in school but I am enjoying it with my child now.
We have used every single Apologia Science product up through High School Biology and have not been disappointed with a single one of them... Chemistry and Physics was fantastic! We loved the experiments and conversational style of the curriculum. My son actually reads this on his own and then we discuss what he read. He was so excited because he got to cover Chemistry before his older high school brothers covered it! LOL!! It got all 5's from my son!

Conversational, Hands-On Activities, No Planning Necessary, Christian, Thorough
We are just finishing up with this study. The kids really enjoyed the lessons and activities. I love how the kids can read the lesson on thier own and then come to me with what they have learned. We did not use the journal with this study. Instead we used the free printables that you can print from Apologia book extras. This work well for us.
I used the Young Explorer's Chemistry and Physics with my then 4th & 6th graders. They loved all the hands on experiments and color photos. The notebooking journal was a wonderful resource to help both age levels record what they had learned and give them a fun way to review.
I appreciated the premade material lists (by lesson). This allowed me to be prepared each time instead of having disappointed kids when we didn't have X, y or z.

Pros
I was able to teach mutliple age levels from the same book and know that the younger ones were "getting it", and the older ones weren't getting bored.
